FAQ - Class Rings and Jewelry

How do I order my class ring?

  • Class rings can be ordered on our website or in person with a representative during one of your in-school order events. If you plan to order in person, we still recommend going online prior to your order session to veiw the available styles and options and build a few simulations. This helps identify questions you might have for the representative when ordering. 

 

How do I determine my ring size?

  • You can be sized by one of our representatives at any in-school order event as well as by any local jeweler. Additionally, you can download the Herff Jones RightSize app on your phone.


I need to change my ring size. How do I get my order updated?

  • Please email info@herffjonesgrad.com or call the office at (770-921-9022) as soon as you realize you may need a ring size change. If your ring was recently ordered, we should be able to update it. If your ring has already been submitted to the factory, it will depend on what stage of production the ring is currently in as to whether we can update the size. If we are unable to change it, once the ring is received we can send it back to the factory for resizing at no charge.

 

What kind of metal are class rings made of?

  • Most of our class rings are made of Ultrium (a fine jeweler’s stainless alloy) . In addition, we offer Extreme Silver, Extreme AuRista and10K white or yellow gold.

 

What is the order cancellation policy?

  • You, the buyer, may cancel the transaction at any time prior to midnight of the third business day (72 hours) after the date of this transaction. The minimum deposit is subject to forfeiture.

 

When will I receive my class ring?

  • Class rings can take anywhere from 4 weeks to 10 weeks to produce depending on the style and options selected. Senior rings are mailed to your home address once complete. Depending on your school, underclassmen rings are either delivered at a ring delivery event at school or mailed to your home. If your school chooses to do a delivery event, students will receive their rings at the same time.

 

What if I missed the delivery event?

  • Rings not picked up at a ring delivery event are returned to our office. Please call the office to verify your mailing address and we will ship your ring to your home address. Shipping charges may apply.

 

What if I move to another school or my graduation year changes?

  • As long as you are still in school, Herff Jones will make a new ring for you, at no charge, in exchange for your original ring. If Herff Jones does not service your new school, you may need to choose an alternate style that we can adapt for your new school. Contact our office and we will assist you.

 

What is the best way to care for my class ring?

  • The best way to care for your class ring is to polish it with a good silver cleaner or wash it with a mild soap. Finish by buffing with a soft cloth.


What is covered under the Herff Jones Ring Warranty?

  • Herff Jones fully warrants the ring and simulated gemstone to be free from defects in workmanship and/or material at the time of delivery. In addition, the following services will be performed at NO CHARGE: resizing; replacement of broken or defective simulated stones; restore the original finish of ring; change of grad year date while still in school; clean and polish. How can I get my ring repaired?

  • Requests for repairs can be mailed directly to the factory using the Warranty Request Form.  Alternatively, you may turn your ring in to a representative during an in-school event or drop it off at our office and we will submit it for you. Charges may apply if the damage is not covered under the warranty policy.

 

How long will it take to repair my class ring?

  • Ring repairs generally take 4 – 6 weeks to be repaired and shipped back out. If your ring requires a remake, remakes generally take 8-10 weeks to be remade and shipped out.

 

How do I report my ring as lost or stolen?

  • To report a lost/stolen ring that was ordered within 6 years of the current date please call our factory at 1-800-451-3304.
